Learning Through Service

"But just as you excel in everything -- in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us -- see that you also excel in this grace of giving." 2 Corinthians 8:7

Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School is known for academic excellence and service learning projects. Even from the young age of two, we begin to instill a sense of pride in giving to others.

Depending on where a class sees a need, we change our projects. Some of our outreach programs have included:

  • Green Team Efforts (Recycle, Reduce, Reuse)
  • Bike-a-thon – raising money for an identified need
  • Operation Christmas Child
  • Sock Drive/Sock it to Me Chapel associated with St. Nicholas Day
  • The Heifer Project International

  • Knitting hats for people who are homeless and cancer patients
  • Bringing homemade gifts to the elderly at local nursing homes
  • World Land Trust-US, an international conservation organization
  • Serving lunch at Abraham’s Tent
  • Eighth graders at lead chapel
